People are selfish. You are and I am. Not always but just sometimes. It’s not always in a bad way either. For us though, we need to know what side of the table we need to be on. When we’re buying, sure we need to be a bit more selfish. This is because we need to get exactly what we want as we are spending our hard earned money on that product or service. If we’re selling the product we need to be selfless, the opposite of selfish. It’s not about us then it’s all about them. It’s about what they need and want. In the beginning it needs to be more about giving them what they want rather than what they need. Giving them what they need will come later because naturally you’ll deliver something amazing in your products or services. Then, they’ll get exactly what they want and need.
Although it might sound simple, we always want to ask ourselves:
- What do people really want?
- What does my potential customer want?
Then we give them that. This is what we talk all about in our marketing and sales. 90% of the here now, gone tomorrow marketers never do this. Don’t let that be you. Do your due diligence, go the extra mile and profit immensely as a result. It’ll make your business so much more fun and lucrative.
