There’s a saying from Spiderman: “I made a choice, this is my path.”  Spiderman was aware that one day, a villain would come along that would be much stronger than him where all odds would be against him to win.

He knew from the beginning that it wouldn’t be an easy road being the friendly neighbourhood spider.  At one point, his girlfriend Mary Jane told him: “This is bigger than you Peter.”  He did get himself in the situation.  Failure looked immanent and giving up looked like the easy path to take.  His response to her without hesitation: “I made a choice, this is my path.”Kudos to Spidey here.  I just wish most real people would do the same thing online.  They might discover that there’s a hero within them if they’ll just trust the path they’re on and have a little “stick-to-it-iv-nes.”  Instead when they encounter the very first obstacle in their path, the first uncomfortable thing to do, they give up and go “Shiny Object” hunting.

There’s nothing better than making a 100% concrete decision to choose a path and stick with it.  Sometimes what you’re doing is all wrong but you don’t get off the path, you only “adjust” your step.  You change things that will keep you on the path to success.  Getting to this point isn’t easy but it’s completely necessary.  Here’s a two step process that will help:

1. You need to get brutally honest with yourself, your circumstances, take personal responsibility for where you’re at then get committed to your path.
2. You need a stable support base and training that will give you the confidence that you’re on the right path.
