Let me explain why he doesn’t believe in the entrepreneur. Here’s what Koch says: “The real myth is that there is always or even usually one key person in every new venture . Much more often, there are several people propelling a new business forward.” Koch continues: “Rather than talk of the entrepreneur in a particular venture, we should speak of the entrepreneurs or if you like the ‘collective entrepreneur’.”
It takes more than one superstar individual to start a successful business. To think that there are special people out there who are so strong and smart and driven and attractive that they can single handedly start a wildly successful business. That’s unrealistic thinking.
